Inclusive Access to Mandurah's Christmas Experience

Christmas trainThe City of Mandurah's commitment to access and inclusion through the publication of Social Stories is opening up new opportunities for children with heightened sensitivities to participate in the forthcoming festive season. 

A social story™ uses storytelling techniques to explain new experiences and environments. Anyone who is nervous when attending a place or event for the first time may benefit from access to a social story. Check out three of these social stories below.

Christmas Pageant

The annual Christmas Pageant brings the Mandurah foreshore to life as thousands of people gather to celebrate the wonderful diversity and colour of our community. This year's event returns with the much-loved community pageant, live stage entertainment, markets, kid’s activities, amusement rides and photos with Santa!

Christmas CastleChristmas Lights Trail

WA’s Christmas lights capital is turning up the sparkle this Christmas in Mandurah with the free-to-view trail lighting up the heart of Mandurah with 30 light installations and brilliant new additions.

This year enjoy a range of family-friendly entertainment, activities and roving performers every evening until Christmas Eve.

  • School Uniform - Extended Trading Hours This Summer

    The school uniform supplier Perm-a-Pleat has extended its trading hours to assist parents to purchase uniforms before the start of school on 31 January 2024.

    When you purchase your uniform, please specify you are from Riverside Education Support Centre. This will assist with better business management and support for the school, the P&C Association and families.

  • Summary of 2023 School Parent Survey

    Riverside ESC takes part in the National School Opinion Survey every two years. Information gained is used to help make decisions on school direction and gauge school success. All families of enroled students are invited to take part in the survey, which is online and voluntary. The results of the 2023 are now available at Parent Surveys.
