Riverside ESC humbly receives and shares with you recently received expressions of appreciation from parents. It is our privilege to serve this community as educators and mentors of your children, equipping them with choice, ability and a strong sense of well-being.

Unique self supported

What a beautiful start Cooper has had to his school journey. He has had two incredible teachers and a team of amazing education assistants from Kinder to Prep who all have wholeheartedly supported and nurtured him, not only teaching him the curriculum and valuable life skills but have encouraged and celebrated Cooper to continue being his unique self. The highlight of our day is seeing the joy on his face at the end of school, confirming to us that he is in the right environment. A school where he has formed friendships, where his confidence and voice continues to grow, where his abilities are strengthened and new ones learned. This has all been possible because of the connection that has fostered between Cooper, his teacher and EAs and all of his wonderful classmates experiencing a similar journey.

His teacher could not be a better teacher for children with additional needs. She has a genuine interest in each student both academically and in their overall well-being and it is because of her holistic approach along with her warmth and kindness that Cooper is enjoying school.

All we want for Cooper is to be himself, to be happy and to feel safe and included and he is all of those things at Riverside ESC.

School is fun

When I moved with my kids at the end of 2020 we left behind a school Tate thrived at so finding another amazing education support environment was a priority in considering where we would live. Having family history at Riverside Primary, it came highly recommended and has not disappointed.

One of the things I love most about my son is his individuality and I have enjoyed watching him learn his strengths in an environment that encourages uniqueness and independence while supporting my family in all the challenges we face in our daily lives.

Tate says that he loves the library and that his school always has fun activities. He has always been an enthusiastic participant in school events and it is so valuable to me as a parent to watch him grow as part of such a close and valued community.
