Inclusive Access to Mandurah's Christmas Experience
The City of Mandurah's commitment to access and inclusion through the publication of Social Stories is opening up new opportunities for children with heightened sensitivities to participate in the forthcoming festive season.
A social story™ uses storytelling techniques to explain new experiences and environments. Anyone who is nervous when attending a place or event for the first time may benefit from access to a social story. Check out three of these social stories below.
Christmas Pageant
The annual Christmas Pageant brings the Mandurah foreshore to life as thousands of people gather to celebrate the wonderful diversity and colour of our community. This year's event returns with the much-loved community pageant, live stage entertainment, markets, kid’s activities, amusement rides and photos with Santa!
