Inclusive Sensory Sessions - Skating in Mandurah

City of Mandurah logo 2021In our great City of Manudrah, Inclusive Sensory Sessions is offering a low stimulus environment to support people of all ages with sensory needs.

  • Ice skating rink
  • Ice slide
  • Pop up rides, amusements and entertainment
  • Delicious food and drinks by the rink
  • Plus FREE and ticketed events

There will be soft music, dimmed lights, reduced number of people on the rink, free hire of the skating aids and access to sensory tools and noise reduction earmuffs.

Ramp access is also available for people who use a wheelchair with nearby ACROD parking and wheelchair accessible toilet facilities.

A Changing Places facility is located next to the Mandurah Visitors Centre, with loan keys available from the Visitors Centre.

Mandurah Skating Social StorySocial Story
A social story is a document that uses storytelling techniques to explain new experiences and environments to people who are autistic or who have sensory sensitivities. Anyone who experiences anxiety, or is nervous when attending a place or event for the first time, may benefit from access to a social story.     The school uniform supplier Perm-a-Pleat has extended its trading hours to assist parents to purchase uniforms before the start of school on 31 January 2024.

    When you purchase your uniform, please specify you are from Riverside Education Support Centre. This will assist with better business management and support for the school, the P&C Association and families.
