Students at Riverside ESC Embrace Classic Cars

Variety brought their 2024 Creative Car Cruise to Riverside ESC last week, enthralling students and their families, and staff too. Students got to sit inside vehicles, pretend to drive, talk to owners and immerse themselves in the world of shiny fabulous vehicles.

Variety – the Children’s Charity of WA is all about empowering WA kids who are sick, experiencing disadvantage or living with disability. By providing vital and practical equipment, programs and experiences, the club helps children to overcome obstacles they face to live life to the fullest and help ‘kids be kids.’

The car show was the first involvement of the club with Riverside ESC. The club parked their cars, new and vintage, on the oval adjacent the school, to the delight of all who attended. There was much joyful interaction between club members and our students. Riverside ESC looks forward to building this relationship and to sharing many more good news stories in the future.

Mandurah Times published an article about the event which you may like to visit here: Variety WA Creative Car Cruise visits Riverside Education Support Centre | Community News (perthnow.com.au).

Our school acknowledges the support of School Board chair and Mandurah East Ward councillor Daniel Wilkins for his excellent photographs. We also extend our thanks to Kellie Foster from Variety who provided organisational support for this memorable event.
