Koolaanga Waabiny Western Foreshore Playground Social Story Opportunity

Western Foreshore Playground 2023The City of Mandurah is working on an exciting project to increase the accessibility of the Koolaanga Waabiny Western Foreshore Playground for people with disability by developing a social story in both PDF and digital versions. Riverside ESC is please to be able to support this project by informing our community of the following opportunity.

To support the success of this project, the City will undertake a photoshoot, with photo consent forms, at the playground to capture images and content of people with disability of all ages, family members, support workers and friends using the space. Photos and video will be used to increase the diversity of images used in City-wide communications. This is where we need help from our community.

• Are you a person with disability, family member, support worker who could be ‘talent’ for the Western Foreshore Playground photoshoot?
• We are seeking parents with disability, children with disability, family members, friends of people with disability, support workers – to help the City to promote the space as an accessible space where people of all ages can enjoy being outdoors together.
• Do you know a person with disability who you could share this opportunity with?
• Are you passionate about supporting inclusion of people with disability in our community?
