Village Morning Tea - Connecting the Disability Community

City Mandurah Village morning tea 2022Village Morning Tea is for parents/carers of children with a disability or people who have a disability themselves, to create connections and to access peer support. The free mornings are held fortnightly (every second Tuesday). They are very informal, with craft activities and information sessions (if wanted), morning tea and conversations.

The events are held at the Lakelands Library and Community Centre at (49 Banksiadale Gate, Lakelands).

Dates - Term 1 2022 (09:30 - 11:30 AM)

  • Tuesday 15 February: guest speaker from City of Mandurah to chat about the City’s new Art, Culture and Heritage strategy – to ensure that the voices of people with disability are included in the new strategy.
  • Tuesday 1 March: guest speaker from Wanslea to talk about access and eligibility to the NDIS for children 0-6 who have developmental delay or diagnosed disability.
  • Tuesday 15 March
  • Tuesday 29 March

Accessibility

ACROD parking is available out the front of the main entrance to the Lakelands Shopping Centre. There is a wheelchair accessible toilet at the library and at the shopping Centre. Children are welcome and there will be a supervised children’s activity area.

  • School Uniform - Extended Trading Hours This Summer

    The school uniform supplier Perm-a-Pleat has extended its trading hours to assist parents to purchase uniforms before the start of school on 31 January 2024.

    When you purchase your uniform, please specify you are from Riverside Education Support Centre. This will assist with better business management and support for the school, the P&C Association and families.
