Grandcarers Support Group in Mandurah

Wanslea provides services for grandparents who are raising their grandchildren (full-time) on an informal basis. A support group run by a trained facilitator exists in Mandurah. How does it work? Contact by phone to find out more.

Eligibility for Grandcarer Support Scheme

If you have had fulltime care of your grandchildren for at least four months in the past year, they are currently in your care and are aged under 18, you may be eligible for an annual payment. Fulltime carer means you are the primary carer (i.e. not a baby sitter).

You will not be eligible if you already receive foster care payments from the Department of Communities.
