Schooling for Term 2 (2020)

Principal Jim Douglas has written to all parents and carers of children enrolled at Riverside ESC to share information released by the Premier and Education Minister about schooling at the commencement of Term 2. The most important message: the school is open and will continue to provide students with access to classroom learning.

The dynamic nature of the COVID-19 situation means that all information provided is subject to change. Nevertheless the linked communications (see below) from the Principal and from the Chief Medical Officer Dr Andy Robertson, will give some guidance and assurances as to whether your child can return to school for Term 2.

Two options are available for parents and carers to select from when school recommences on Wednesday: return children to school or keep children at home where they will be able to continue learning by using work packs specially designed by their teachers. It is vital that parents and carers communicate their choice to the school via email ASAP.

Please note: Parents are asked to drop their child/children at the school gate. Please do not enter the school grounds. This stipulation will remain in force until otherwise notified.

These arrangements will be reviewed ahead of Week 4 commencing 18 May. As always, State Government decisions will be based on the best health advice.

The school office opens for Term 2 on Tuesday 28th April. Students commence Term 2 on Wednesday 29th.
