Wheatbelt Generosity Reaches Riverside ESC
At Riverside we are always overwhelmed by the varied and generous support of our communities. We have just received donations from community groups in the wheatbelt towns of Willams and Darkan, each about 150kms distance from our school!
The wonderful staff at the Bush Brothers Op Shop in the town of Williams have been gathering resources that they knew could be put to good use in our classrooms. The small community organisation has now donated for two consecutive years, and we are very grateful.
Additionally, a team of volunteers from the Darkan Patchwork and Quilting Group have donated beautiful handcrafted quilts for students to use during therapy sessions.
Several students have already put these donations to good use, and staff have been sure to include the donations into their classroom teaching and learning practises.
We are grateful for both the time and expense that have been put into providing these items for students at Riverside Education Support Centre.
